Onychomycosis (toenail fungus) Clinical Trial
Thank you for your interest in the Onychomycosis (toenail fungus) Clinical Trial. Please read the following information about the trial to see if you qualify.
Inclusion Criteria (You must be able to answer “Yes” to each of the following):
- You are between 18-70 years old.
- You are in general good health.
- You must be willing to commit to 15 visits over a one year period.
- If you are female, you must not be pregnant (and be willing to take a urine pregnancy test), and you must use an effective method of contraception while participating in the study.
- You must be willing to avoid the use of toenail polish, cosmetic toenail products, and pedicures during the study period.
Exclusion Criteria (You must be able to answer “No” to each of the following):
- If you are female, you are pregnant, nursing an infant, or planning a pregnancy during the study period.
- You have a history of immunosupression and/or clinical signs indicative of possible immunosupession as determined by the Investigator (e.g. diagnosis of HIV infection).
- You have diabetes that is uncontrolled.
- You have received treatment for any type of cancer within the past 6 months, except for non-melanoma skin cancer (e.g. basal cell carcinoma or non-metastatic squamous cell carcinoma) that has been treated successfully.
- You have used any investigational drug or device within 30 days prior to your screening visit, or you are concurrently participating in another clinical trial with an investigational drug or device.
- You have used the following topical preparations within the indicated time prior to your screening visit, or you require concurrent use of any of the following topical preparations during the study:
| Toenail polish, cosmetic toenail products, or topical prescription or OTC antifungal therapy for tinea pedis. |

| Other topical prescription or OTC medications to the feet or toenails (with the exception of bland emollients) |

| Toenail prescription or OTC antifungal therapy for the toenails, including devices to treat onychomycosis |

| Topical corticosteroids to the feet |

- You have used the following systemic medications within the indicated time prior to your screening visit, or you require concurrent use of any of the following systemic medications during the study:

| More than one 2-week course of oral corticosteroid therapy or intramuscular, intravenous, or intra-articular injection of corticosteroids |
