What is Toenail Fungus?
Toenail fungus is also known as onychomycosis, ringworm of the nail, and tinea unguium. It is the most common disease of the nails and constitutes about a half of all nail abnormalities.
Signs and symptoms of Toenail Fungus:
- The most common symptoms of include thickened and discolored nails. As the fungal infection progresses, the nail becomes brittle, with pieces breaking off or coming away from the toe completely.
